The darkness of the nordic winter months and many family birthdays in November inspired a cake platter with space for all one's candles regardless of age.

The hole a generic cake candleholder makes in a cake was the starting point and resulted in a random dotty pattern allover the platter, that can even be used to decorate the surface.

Flipped over, the platter becomes a generous fruit bowl.
